This half-day training session is aimed at those who carry out manual handling activities at work and introduces students to the hazards of manual handling, the risks involved and controls available and what to expect from a manual handling assessment.

The cost of this course run at your site for a group of up to 12 is £325+VAT. This includes certification fee for each student. A comprehensive manual is also included for each student. Please enquire for smaller groups

Level 1 / 2 Award in Fire Safety

The Level 1 Fire Safety course is designed for anyone who is expected to respond to a fire alarm or is actually confronted by a fire. It teaches basic fire safety awareness as it applies to the workplace.

This is a 3* hour course and the syllabus includes:
Causes of workplace fires
The basic chemistry of fire and its differing classes
Fire safety precautions
Reducing the risks
Fire fighting procedures
Extinguisher recognition
Extinguisher use (weather and space dependent)
Fire action planning
Cost:

The cost of this course is £375+VAT with extinguisher practical* or £325+VAT without. Alternatively two courses can be run on the same day for a 20% discount

The Level 2 Fire Safety (Fire Marshall) course is designed specifically for any member of staff who has been appointed to carry out the duties of a Fire Warden or Fire Marshal.

This is a 4 1/2 hour* course the syllabus includes all the Level 1 subjects plus:
Emergency lighting
Fixed fire fighting installations
Evacuation assembly point and fire drills
Fire alarms
Fire hazards
Routine fire safety inspections and maintaining a fire log
Risk assessment awareness
All courses are certificated and comply with the Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005.

Cost:

**The cost of this course is from £425+VAT with extinguisher practical or £375+VAT without.

This is based on a maximum number of 10 students per course and includes a comprehensive manual for each student.

On completion students will receive a certificate which will be valid for 3 years
